Acapulco Shopping: Picture of shoppers exploring the city centreVisitors staying in the state of Guerrero will soon realise that shopping is a major pastime for both locals and tourists, particularly within Acapulco. Plenty of quality gifts and souvenirs are easy to find around many parts of Acapulco, when hand-painted pottery is a particular speciality, along with colourful textiles, various art works, Mexican clothing and silver jewellery.

The spreading municipal market (Mercado Central) located within Acapulco is a great place to start your shopping expedition. Here you will discover an array of local produce, including fruit, vegetables, cheeses, meats and various hot snacks, all housed indoors. As prices are not usually fixed, shopping here will give you a chance to try your hand at a little bargaining.
